I was humbled to be recognised in as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to the LGBTIQ community, to marriage equality and to history. Some of the causes and subjects I have been privileged to advocate for are listed below.

I am the Oceania representative on IOHA, a professional association established to provide a forum for oral historians around the world, and a means for cooperation among those concerned with the documentation of human experience.

I served as President of Oral History NSW in 2018 and 2019 and Committee Member. Oral History NSW is a non-profit association with an engaged and energetic committee and membership who promote oral history and help to foster and develop an vibrant oral history community.

I am President of Sydney's Pride History Group, a community-run group which records and preserves the LGBTIQ history of Sydney, primarily through oral history interviews.

I volunteered with Australian Marriage Equality since 2012 and was on the Board of Directors. Over this time, I have served as a National Spokesperson and NSW Co-Convenor, supporting community-driven campaigns across Australia.

I served as an ambassador for Honour A Woman, a non-partisan, volunteer movement working towards gender equality in the Order of Australia awards. With the support of thousands of supporters around Australia, Honour A Woman is working to achieve better representation of women in the Australian honours system.

I have served as a committee member of the Pinnacle Foundation in the ACT and a former Chair. The Pinnacle Foundation is an organisation that supports LGBTIQ young people across Australia by providing educational and vocational support.
